Abstract

This study, titled "The Characteristics of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from the Perspective of the Qur'an and Their Implications for the Lifestyle of Contemporary Muslims," examines the behavioral and personality traits of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) based on Qur'anic verses and analyzes their practical impact on the lifestyle of Muslims in the modern world. The concept of lifestyle is defined as a coherent set of behaviors, values, and social relationships shaped by religious teachings. The research adopts a descriptive-analytical approach, relying on Qur'anic verses and historical accounts. The findings indicate that the Prophet’s characteristics in the realm of beliefs—such as monotheism, faith, trust in God, belief in divine support, and conviction in the hereafter—shape Muslims’ religious identity, crisis management, and sense of responsibility, steering their lifestyle away from materialism toward spirituality. In terms of individual traits, the Prophet’s noble character, humility, patience, trustworthiness, perseverance, and truthfulness contribute to ethical development, reduction of social conflicts, and fostering trust in contemporary societies. His social traits, including gentleness, tolerance, fidelity to commitments, exemplary conduct, and consultation in social matters, promote peaceful coexistence, civic participation, and the reduction of extremism. For instance, tolerance aids in countering Islamophobia in multicultural societies. Ultimately, these characteristics provide an eternal model for contemporary Muslims to achieve a virtuous life amidst the challenges of globalization, individualism, and moral crises.
